This morning my darling Blake was given sleep to save him from any further suffering.

Just 3mths short of his 16th birthday.

His presence will be sorely missed around our home.

He will live on in his progency.

 Run free big lad.

Blake was named after Peter Blake as he was born on the day the Black Magic
won the America's Cup.  He obtained 6CCs and was a Test A obedience dog in
New Zealand before accompanying his Dad and me to Scotland for four years.
While there, he was mated to Rainscourt Quest for Fame who produced a
beautiful litter of 9 pups.  One of these is NZ Champion Islavale Solar
Quest.  He also had a litter to Rainscourt Isle of Dreams at Islavale.  Two
of the boys from this litter are working extremely well in the obedience ring.

Blake is a perfect gentleman.  All new puppies here at Speyside sleep beside
grandpa Blake as he is just so gentle with them.

This picture was taken when Blake was visiting Scotland with us.Taken sitting outside what used to be Guisachan House the birth place of the first golden Retrievers.

I think you will agree it looks as if he was enjoying himself.

Who said i'm that age???
